The feature of the Yellow Brick Road on the Big Screen (and even in our imagination, in the book) is an important part of the iconic magical fantasy of theWizard of Oz. But, there was a (not-so) slight problem with the way it appeared, via Technicolor. They had to use industrial-grade paint on theroad,because it had a greenish tint to the color when it was shot in full-color. Wouldn’t you know that one of the most memorable, and iconic, parts of the entire legend of Oz would also be so troublesome to recreate in “real” living color?
