Clara’s Death

Clara Blandick was eighty-five years old, and while rearranging her room she ensured her most important papers and press clippings were in order. She then changed into an elegant royal blue dressing gown and fixed her hair. That night Clara took sleeping pills, laid down on the couch, and tied a plastic bag over her head. She also draped herself with a gold blanket. Clara did leave a note which read, “I am now about to makethe great adventure. I cannot endure this agonizing pain any longer. It is all over my body.
