Nomar Garciaparra Jumps Into Cold Boston Water To Save Lives

Although Nomar Garciaparra was already a legend in Boston after playing for the Boston Red Sox, he became a real hero after he saved two women that had fallen into the Boston Harbor.

In 2005, he heard a woman in distress after hearing a splash from his condo. He ran out to see what happened and saw that two women had fallen into the harbor. One of them had hit her head and desperately needed help. Luckily for the women, Garciaparra jumped into the freezing October waters and pulled them both out.
