During his first season with the Orioles, third baseman Melvin Mora’s wife gave birth to not one, not two, not three, not four, but five babies! Conceived with the help of fertility drugs, the quintuplets were born 10 weeks early, and not one of them weighed more than 2 1/2 pounds. Now 16 years old, they are all doing wonderfully. According to Mora’s wife Gisele, he was pretty shocked to learn that they’d be having five children at the same time, and understandably so. When asked how he handles it, Mora said “I have a wonderful wife.”
