Celebrities Who Bring “Twinning” To A Whole New Level
The Olsen twins, the Sprouse twins, and even the Madden twins are typically the duos that come to mind when people think of celebrity twins. While those six people are pretty famous, there are stars in Hollywood and professional athletes who aren't known for being "a twin."
Actor Ashton Kutcher has a twin brother who's a motivational speaker for cerebral palsy, while actress Parker Posey's twin brother works as a lawyer. Of course, that doesn't mean there aren't twins who took the entertainment industry by storm. You're just going to read to find out who!
Rami Malek And Sami Malek
While they look identical, Academy Award-winning actor Rami Malek and his identical twin brother Sami couldn't be more different. While they obviously look strikingly similar, aside from Sami's facial hair, the two brothers went on separate career paths.
Born four minutes earlier, Rami opted to try his hand in Hollywood. It obviously worked out in his favor, winning an Oscar for his role as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. Sami, on the other hand, is a teacher.
Brittany Daniel And Cynthia Daniel
If there's anyone in Hollywood who takes the phrase "dynamic duo" and runs with it, it's the Daniel twins, Brittany and Cynthia. First appearing together as the "Doublemint Twins" for the product Doublemint Gum, they went on to play sisters Liz and Jessica Wakefield in Sweet Valley High.
Before that television role, though, the Daniel twins were models, singing to their first agency at the young age of 11. Obviously, these two were meant to be in the industry!
Jon Heder And Dan Heder
Honestly, give them the same haircut, and Dan Heder could have been swapped out for his identical twin brother Jon in Napoleon Dynamite, and no one would have known any different.
It wouldn't have been surprising, either, considering the twins were known to trade places with each other growing up. During an interview on The Late Show with David Letterman, Jon explained that he and Dan "caused a lot of trouble by pretending to be the other."
Scarlett Johansson and Hunter Johansson
Academy Award nominated-actress Scarlett Johansson has a fraternal brother named Hunter. And while Scarlett is a huge name in Hollywood, being named one of the industry's highest-paid actresses, her brother decided on something else for his life.
While his sister is high-profile, Hunter has led a pretty low-key life. In recent years, he's worked on multiple political campaigns and has worked with organizations giving back to the community, including the Champions of Rockaway Hurricane Sandy Fundraiser in 2014.
Kiefer Sutherland And Rachel Sutherland
It's safe to say being born into the Sutherland family means one day you'll be brought into the "family business." Only instead of the business being part of a crime family, it's finding your place in Hollywood.
For twins Kiefer and Rachel, they found their respective places in front of and behind the camera. While Kiefer opted to take on acting, starring in series such as 24, his fraternal twin Rachel prefers staying behind the scenes, supervising post-production.
Deidre Hall And Andrea Hall
Identical twins Deidre Hall and Andrea Hall didn't just go into acting together; they went into the same show. On the soap opera Days of Our Lives, Andrea plays Samantha Evans while Diedre plays Dr. Marlena Evans, her twin.
Interestingly, Diedre's character sky-rocketed her to fame, even winning her various awards, including two Best Actress Soapy Awards. Andrea, on the other hand, didn't win accolades for her performance. But she did portray a Marlena-lookalike on Days from 2000-2001.
Shawn Ashmore And Aaron Ashmore
Seriously, if Shawn and Aaron Ashmore had the same haircut and facial hair, they'd be hard-pressed to find anyone other than their immediate family who'd be able to tell them apart. The identical twins are both actors, having both had roles in the series Smallville.
Apparently, the twins have an affinity for the supernatural since Shawn is probably best known for his role as Iceman in the X-Man franchise while Aaron played a human polygraph in the SyFy series Warehouse 13.
Aaron Carter And Angel Carter
Known for his time as a solo artist and for being the younger brother of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, one thing people don't really know about Aaron Carter is that he has a twin sister, Angel.
And while Aaron went the music route, most likely due to his older brother's influence, Angel decided to do something a bit different in Hollywood. Angel decided to go into the modeling industry. Of course, she tried her hand in music a time or two. Hey, it runs in the family!
Linda Hamilton And Leslie Hamilton
Known for her role of Sara Connor in The Terminator, many don't know that actress Linda Hamilton actually had an identical twin sister, Leslie. And while Leslie was a nurse and not an actress, she stepped in as her sisters double in three scenes of Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
In the movie, Linda plays the "in focus close-ups of Sara," and Leslie would stand-in during the shots further away. Unfortunately, Leslie passed away in 2020.
Parker Posey And Christopher Posey
Best in Show actress Parker Posey has a fraternal twin brother, Christopher. But while Parker enjoys being in front of the camera, working on multiple improvisational mockumentary movies with stars such as Jane Lynch, Catherine O'Hara, and Eugene Levy, Christopher opted to stay out of Hollywood.

And while that's all well and good, he also established himself as a supporter of the ol' twin switcheroo. Being identical twins, José and Ozzie got in a bit of trouble with the league after it was found out Ozzie stepped in for his brother at a celebrity boxing match. Whoops.
