Back in the ’80s, Jose Canseco was ‘The Man‘ when he played for the Oakland A’s. And when we say ‘the man’ we mean a huge, super muscled, heavy hitter. He started to become hated due to his brash personality and later due to his tell-all book.
Many thought the book was just a way to for the retired slugger to stay relevant and continue to bring in money. The book was essentially Canseco revealing that his former teammates and MLB players were taking steroids. He has admitted to taking drugs himself but he also speculated about players he thought were taking drugs, which didn’t sit too well with the other players and fans.
