When on-screen Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart got together in real life in 2009, their fans were elated. They appeared to be the perfect couple, but their love didn’t last. During their relationship in July of 2012, Stewart slipped up and had an affair with director Rupert Sanders.

Pattinson went AWOL after the news came out, which turned out that he escaped to Reese Witherspoon’s home in Ojai, California. Pattinson was questioning everything, as fans later found out he had plans to propose. He ended up staying with Stewart for another year before officially breaking things off.
