These People Were Arrested In Costumes And The Pictures Are Hilarious
There's nothing funny about being detained by the police, unless you're wearing an outrageous costume when it happens. Of all the unusual things that police have to endure each day, dealing with people in outlandish costumes is probably one of the more enjoyable ones. While officers must take their job seriously, it's hard not to smirk when there's Winnie the Pooh in the backseat or Santa is being photographed for his mug shot. These costumed delinquents go to show that no one is above the law-- not even Mickey Mouse.
Taking Out The Trash
We're not really quite sure what's going on here. You have someone dressed up as a recycling can that says 'Greenpeace' being dragged along by police officers. From that much, we can surmise that the person may have been a protestor.
Perhaps they were creating a ruckus by forcibly encouraging people to recycle? However, that still doesn't explain the toy truck in the person's hands or why the officers have to practically carry the individual through the rainy street.
Anything You Grunt Can Be Used Against You
For many, Chewbacca is a lovable warrior from another planet and the loyal partner of Han Solo. For these officers, he's a dude dressed up in an outrageous costume who refuses to obey the law.
The fact it took three officers to get this Chewbacca in handcuffs convinces us that this is, in fact, a warrior from another planet. If so, his grunts were probably just misunderstood. The whole thing could likely be chalked up to one big miscommunication.
The Force Is With Him
Well, this is one way to ensure that the force is with you-- the police force, anyway. Though we don't know what this person did, the police are certainly treating him as though he has something up his stormtrooper sleeves.
It's a good thing he's wearing a life-enhancing suit at a time like this. If he doesn't need the protection from the officers, he may need it in jail. How ironic -- a defender of the Empire being held down by a defender of the law.
The Cold Doesn't Bother Her, But Police Do
The look on Elsa's face is priceless. She certainly seems surprised to be getting arrested, being that she's the Queen of Arendelle and all. She must have accidentally frozen an entire town again.
Just as in the movie, she appears to be pleading with the authorities that it wasn't her fault. She can't help if her sister sometimes gets on her nerves, turning her fists into blizzard-makers. For all we know, the officer could be frozen in place.
Calling All Forest Animals
Similar to Elsa, Snow White has an open-mouthed expression as she's handled by a police officer. It's as though she's trying to call upon the forest animals with the power of her singing voice. Unfortunately for her, the police force supersedes the power of song.
She may have been able to charm the dwarves, the animals, and her charming prince. But that police officer seems far from being amused. At least she can sing to herself while she passes the time behind bars.
An Unhappy Meal
Seeing a McDonald's clown in the back of a cop car is one thing. But seeing his prominent frown as he waves to you from said cop car? Now that is pure comedy.
If anyone ever needed a happy meal, it's this guy. One of the officers is even sitting in the backseat with the sad clown. It could be for additional security, or maybe he just is a huge fan and wanted to sit near his favorite childhood mascot.
Oh, Bother!
Honey addiction is a more serious issue than some are willing to admit. Winnie the Pooh may be one of the most lovable creatures to ever exist, but that doesn't give him a license to break the law.
One of the best parts of this photo is the perspective. It appears to have been taken from the front seat of the police vehicle, which only an officer would be allowed to occupy. Even the police force can appreciate capturing a funny moment.
If Only Pigs Could Fly
Many people who get arrested are surprised, as though they thought it was about as likely as pigs flying. Apparently, it's actually about as likely as a pig getting arrested, which has clearly happened before.
Despite what Porky Pig and Wilbur may have you thinking, pigs can be quite aggressive. It's a good thing that the police force got involved in the handling of this individual. In all seriousness, you would think they'd let the person in that costume at least take off the headpiece.
Say Moo!
This takes the insult, "you're being a cow," to a whole new level. We can only assume that the woman was dressed up for Halloween when the incident that landed her in jail occurred. However, even if it was Halloween it's pretty bold to dress up as a cow.
Mug shot or not, looking like a cow is usually a woman's worst nightmare. At least now if you are feeling like a cow, you can find relief in the fact that you don't have to feel that way while sitting behind bars.
With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility
When you imagine seeing Spiderman downtown, you probably imagine seeing him swinging among the skyscrapers. This Spiderman is being watched strolling down the street with police officers on either side.
Like many superhero movies, this one had a great moral to its story: with great power comes great responsibility. Sometimes it takes a trip to jail for that lesson to really sink in. You can't do whatever you want, Peter Parker, not even when you're dressed as Spiderman.
Santa Is Getting Coal This Year
Do you think Santa Claus puts himself on the naughty or nice list each year? If he does, he certainly landed on the naughty list for this one. But if not, that officer is going on the naughty list for sure.
The two appear to be in a conversation as the officer walks Santa along. Their heads are turned toward one another. Perhaps the officer is taking the moment to let Santa know what he wants for Christmas.
More Like Mickey Ouch
Mickey Mouse appears to be in a state of discomfort while being escorted by a police officer in handcuffs. He's probably wondering how he's going to explain this one to Walt Disney.
Though the officer is wearing a serious expression, it must be a strange feeling handcuffing a character that has captivated child audiences for nearly a century. Then again, Mickey Mouse is such a famous character that most delinquents have probably worn a pair of Mickey ears at one time or another.
Hello Kitty, We Have Some Questions
While this Hello Kitty hasn't officially been arrested, the police certainly seem intent on getting some answers from her. They've essentially cornered her in front of an ATM as though she knows something they don't.
One of the officers appears to be taking notes while the other one asks the questions. It's the classic good-cop, bad-cop routine, made fresh and new by the fact that the person being interrogated is a lovable kitten character wearing a heart-printed dress.
Stop Monkeying Around
It's not every day that you see a person dressed in a giant monkey costume being carried by two police officers. What's especially confusing about this photo are the facial expressions on everyone's face.
There's the cop to the left who appears to be having the time of his life. Then there's the cop to the right who seems to be taking this far more seriously. Then there's the person in the monkey costume whose face says "You've got to be kidding me."
Why So Serious?
Party clowns have taken a lot of heat in recent years thanks to their association with horror films and children who find them purely terrifying. For the most part, these fears are irrational.
However, just because a clown looks silly doesn't mean they aren't capable of clowning around to the point of breaking the law. As soon as the handcuffs went on, this goofball became rather serious. He's not going to joke his way out of this one.
They Aren't Laughing
This female clown is no joke. She's making it difficult for two male officers to pin on those handcuffs. The officer to the left has a telling facial expression; she's not making this easy.
People who try to escape from the cops underestimate how difficult it is to outrun an entire police force, especially when you stand out like a sore thumb. Her behavior may be a sign that she's seen a few too many Joker movies.
Peter Pan No Longer Can Fly
Peter Pan was a childhood favorite for his refusal to grow up. In the real world, that makes for a highly irresponsible adult. This police officer hardly seems fazed as he maneuvers Peter Pan into the back of his vehicle.
Technically speaking, Peter Pan is going to the place he always returns to: the land of the lost boys. All this time, what we thought was a mystical island was really just the home of criminals.
Not A Fairytale Ending
Tinkerbell always had a bad attitude, so we aren't that surprised to see her cuffed and sitting on the sidewalk. Her possessiveness over Peter Pan was downright uncalled for. What's worse is that she took the sweet Minnie Mouse down with her.
It's hard to imagine what these women could have been doing that was so wrong while being dressed like they're going to a Disneyland party. Whatever their intentions were at the start of the night, this certainly was not the fairytale ending they may have planned.
El Pollo Loco (The Crazy Chicken)
Let's just start with the fact that the chicken looks insane. Of all of the chicken costumes you could pick from, you would think the person could have done better than this one.
The eyes are shaped in such a way that the chicken looks as though it hasn't slept in weeks. On top of that, why is it wearing a cooking apron? We've been to El Pollo Loco and this certainly is not how they have their chefs dress.
Save The Polar Bear!
This one is a little melancholy because the bear was fighting the good fight. In the background, you can see a sign that reads "Climate Action Now." While the person dressed as a polar bear was clearly trying to make a point, something went awry.
While we can't be sure where exactly they are, it is apparent that there are a ton of police officers surrounding the polar bear. We thought it was illegal to threaten an endangered species.
