There was no magic in Grint’s return to the big screen. Out of the first three endeavors he embarked on, all three were duds. CBGB was a punk rock drama that critics panned. Into the White was a slow-paced and predictable WWII movie. Perhaps the worst of them all was Charlie Countryman, a dramedy where Grint plays an adult film star.

Variety said the film was “a profoundly unnecessary movie,” adding, “strained attempts at magic realism will leave viewers more irritated than enchanted.” Ouch, sorry about that Grint. His string of bad luck didn’t end there…
