Rami Malek Is Going Bad For Bond
Daniel Craig is ending his reign as James Bond with a bang with the announcemetn that Rami Malek will be playing the villain in Bond 25. The untitled entry in the long running franchise is pulling out all the stops, bringing the Oscar winner on board as well as a slew of other notable actors.
Other actors joining or returning to the espionage filled world are Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Jeffrey Wright, and Ana De Armas. The plot of the film, however, is still being kept underwraps. We do know that James Bond's latest adventure will begin with him on vacation in Jamaica.
For Malek, his rise to stardom started slow before blowing up in a flash. Relegated to playing minor characters for most of his career, he made a name for himself as the lead of Mr. Robot. The show received critical praise, especially Malek's unsettling yet sympathetic performance.
The stamp was put on his stardom when he took the roll of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. The film, which went through a troubled production (director Bryan Singer was fired during filming), grossed over $200 million on the back of Malek's incredible Oscar winning performance.
Now he has a tougher task, defeat James Bond, the international spy who has beaten all 24 competitors who came before him!
