Ruby Rose Reveals She Recently Underwent Emergency Spinal Surgery
Ruby Rose has gone full-blown Grey's Anatomy on her Instagram page. The 33-year-old Batwoman actress has revealed she recently underwent emergency spinal surgery and posted the entire thing for her fans to watch on Instagram.
The actress shared that she herniated two discs doing intense stunt work and was at risk of being paralyzed.
"[The herniated discs] were close to severing my spinal cord. I was in chronic pain and yet couldn't feel my arms," Rose said on Instagram.
She chose to reveal her injury to fans after they kept inquiring about her "pez dispenser scar" on her neck. She doesn't open up about what stunt work caused her injury. In January 2018, she revealed she had previously undergone back surgery for a "spine issue"
She also defended her choice to film and share the procedure on social media. The video even has a "graphic content" warning on Instagram it gets so deep in the surgery.
"And to anyone asking why I let them video it. Did you not watch that Grey's anatomy episode where they left a towel in a patient?? Also I wanted to see what happens when we go under," said Rose in the Instagram caption. I mean, that's a good enough reason for us.
