Thanks to tension behind the scenes, O’Neal and Los Angeles would come to an end in 2004. Not only the feud with Bryant, but the organization carried concerns over Shaq’s conditioning and injury problems. The team decided to cut ties and he went to the Miami Heat to play with another rising talent, Dwayne Wade.
