Model, actress, and granddaughter of the legendary author Ernest, Margaux Hemingway was discovered dead in her apartment in July 1996 at the age of 41.

She’d intentionally overdosed on the drug phenobarbital and was discovered by friends days later. Hemingway is buried in the family lot in Idaho.
