Tiny Fantasy Island actor Hervé Villechaize died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his Los Angeles home in 1993. He had suffered from health problems for years. His girlfriend found him dead in their backyard soon after he pulled the trigger.

Villechaize’s last professional appearance was on The Ben Stiller Show, where he had a cameo as himself.
