Despite being the face of hit show Soul Train, Don Cornelius had some inner strife that most of his fans never knew about. He struggled with a variety of ailments and legal troubles for more than 30 years.

Tragically, Cornelius committed suicide at the age of 75, by shooting himself with a gun.
