Cathriona White, a makeup artist and actress, was most famous for her tumultuous romantic relationship with funnyman Jim Carrey. In September 2015, after a breakup, the 28-year-old killed herself and left a suicide note to Carrey, which read in part “I’m just not for this world.”

Her death spurred a series of accusations and lawsuits between Carrey, White’s family, and the man who was legally married to White at the time of her death.
