Model Lais Ribeiro wore this colorful costume at the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The costume was designed by Nepalese artist and jewelry designer Arpana Rayamajhi, who used woven-fabrics and hand-sewn coins from her home country. Rayamajhi told Forbes, “Victoria’s Secret is a global brand. It means everything that they would choose to represent artists from around the world for the work they do and are original to them. As a woman from a very specific part of the world that is often overlooked, this is huge for so many Nepali women who feel that our part of the world is neglected in the regional conversation.”
