There Was A Little Pressure Once The Show Began Airing On Television

Let’s rewind a bit and go back to 2001. This was Adriana Lima’s second time to grace the Victoria’s Secret runway and it was also the first year that the show was broadcast on television. Lima tole Elle that knowing that, there was a lot of pressure. Lima said, “I was very nervous. We knew what a big deal it was for the brand and for our careers. I had been working for a few years at that point and I was becoming more recognizable in the fashion world, but this helped me become more recognizable with people outside of it and with mainstream media.”
