Style Makes The World Go ‘Round: Fashion At the 2018 Winter Olympics

Russia has been a hot topic lately, from American politics to the doping scandal and subsequent banning in the 2018 Winter Olympics. Luckily for the athletes, the International Olympic Committee decided to allow individual athletes to compete on a case-by-case basis. Needless to say, Russia still went all out for their Olympian fashion. Their uniforms were designed by the company ZA Sport. They included colors of the flag including red, white, and blue with the addition of tan. Some of the pieces include knits, scarves and coats. In years past, a lot of fur was involved. But this year they seem to be taking a more subdued approach — perhaps in response to the constant scandal that has plagued the nation recently.
