Spreading Fears About GMOs

Oz, once again, made unnecessary waves when he brought up his concern regarding the labeling of genetically modified organisms or (GMOs) on most foods. Oz claimed that he was not saying that GMOs were dangerous, but that they should have stricter labeling policies. In response, numerous scientists and experts went on to say that Oz’s beliefs were doing nothing but scaring the public and that there is a broad scientific consensus that products containing GMOs are no more harmful than non-GMO products. Because of this, people once again weren’t sure who to trust: Dr. Oz or the surrounding scientific community?
