Dr. Oz Is No Stranger To Awards

Since The Dr. Oz Show’s inception, it has won nine Daytime Emmy Awards and has been nominated 12 times. The show was also nominated for two GLAAD Media Awards in 2010 and 2011 for Outstanding Talk Show Episode. His success in 2009 also earned him the title of “One of the 500 most influential Muslims of 2009.” His other awards include One of Harvard’s 100 Most Influential Alumni, Turkis American of the Year in 1996, 2011 Most Trusted Voice in Daytime Television and more. While still hosting the television show on the side, he continued to serve as the vice-chairman and professor of surgery at Columbia University and still does today. However, it has not all been sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows for Dr. Oz.
