In 2010, Dr. Oz underwent a screening colonoscopy for his television show in order to demonstrate the importance of routine testing. However, the results shocked everyone, including himself. It was discovered that “America’s doctor” had a pre-cancerous polyp that could have turned cancerous if he had not caught it as early as he did. This was so shocking since he lives, breathes, and preaches living a healthy lifestyle.
