Edward Norton later wrote about the experience on Facebook: “It seems it won’t work out for me…I sincerely hoped it could happen and be great for everyone, but it hasn’t turned out as we all hoped.” Four years later he claimed that he just didn’t like doing sequels. It wasn’t the first time he messed with a script. In 2002, Edward Norton played FBI profiler Will Graham in the Silence of the Lambs sequel Red Dragon. When he showed up on set, he brought the director Brett Ratner several pages of the script that he had rewritten (and not been asked to do). Needless to say, his input was not appreciated.
