Katie Holmes’ Daughter Is Her Number-One Priority

When Katie Holmes filed for divorce from Tom Cruise, many believed one of the main reasons was so she could get their daughter Suri away from the Church of Scientology. Katie focused heavily on her child and not on her career during that period. In a 2017 interview with Town & Country, she explained: “My child is the most important person to me… And her upbringing is paramount to my work right now.”

Holmes added, “It’s very important to me that I’m present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there’s nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed.”
