Jimmy Johnson Took On Jerry Jones And Lost

When Jimmy Johnson was the head coach of the Cowboys, Dallas was an unstoppable NFL force. The ego that came with his success didn’t sit well with owner Jerry Jones, one of the most egotistical owners ever. After the Cowboys won the Super Bowl, Jones said any coach could have done it with the roster he assembled.

Johnson couldn’t let his ego be bruised and said he was interested in taking the Jacksonville Jaguars head coaching job. The Jaguars were entering the league as an expansion team.
