Zack Greinke Liked To Hit Carlos Quentin With Pitches

During the time together in the AL Central, then Royals pitcher Zack Greinke had an affinity for hitting then White Sock Carlos Quentin with pitches. Years later, when both players ended up in the NL West separate teams, Quentin fought back.

Pitching for the Dodgers in 2013, Greinke was back to his old tricks. Quentin, playing for the Padres, charged the mound and broke Greinke’s collarbone. Sending Greinke to the disabled list probably wasn’t a part of Quentin’s plan, but he probably wasn’t too upset about it either.
