Leonardo DiCaprio is lucky to have lived long enough to finally win his first Oscar in 2016 for The Revenant. There have been plenty of times before that moment that the actor has seen his life flash before his eyes.

In an interview with WIRED magazine, DiCaprio recounts all the times he’s had near-death experiences. He came face-to-face with a hungry Great White Shark in South Africa, while another time he went skydiving only to have his chute tangled with his instructor’s on the way down. “If a cat has nine lives, I think I’ve used a few,” DiCaprio said in the interview. Leo is lucky to be alive, so he probably doesn’t think much about aging. Sharon Stone certainly doesn’t these days.
