When actors perform their own stunts, the consequences can get pretty grave, especially when everyone on set thinks you’re just acting when you’re actually in danger. This is what happened to Isla Fisher when she was filming Now You See Me.

Fisher plays a magician in the movie and one of her stunts was a magic trick that took place underwater. Fisher had to hold her breath longer than expected before someone realized she needed help. “My chain got stuck. I had to really swim to the bottom; I couldn’t get up. Everyone thought I was acting fabulously. I was actually drowning,” she said on Chelsea Lately.
