50 Cent Got Shot Nine Times And Lived To Tell The Tale

While still coming up as a rapper in 2000, 50 Cent was notoriously shot nine times in the hand, arm, hip, both legs, chest, and face. 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, was sitting in a parked car with a friend when another car pulled up and fired the shots.

Jackson was admitted for surgery the next day, after which he was said to be in stable condition. He miraculously survived and used the incident as fuel for his debut album, 2003’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’. Reports suspect that the shooting was caused by one of Jackson’s unreleased tracks at the time, “Ghetto Qu’ran.”
