They’re Just Like Us! The Fittest Stars On The Planet, Eating Fast Food

The Meal Of Champions

Apparently one can be a champion athlete with a killer bod while eating fast food every day. Well, at least Ryan Lochte can. The skilled swimmer allegedly ate McDonald’s food for nearly every meal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, and still managed to take home two gold medals and two bronze. He also set world records in the 200-meter backstroke and 4-by-200–meter freestyle relay. Word of his love of fast food spread so much that Pink’s Hot Dogs in Los Angeles decided to name a hot dog after him: the Lochtedog. Considering that Lochte burns nearly 7,000 calories a day during his training, he may need that high-calorie meal.
